Just a quick note to say that we had started this blog exactly twelve months ago.
It hasn’t been always easy to find time and motivation to keep it going. But the more we do it, the more we start believing in it.
If we have just about started acquiring a voice, it is only because, you, dear readers, have decided to lend it your ears. Thank you!
Many Congratulations to the team of Mr. Rajib Sarkar, Mr. G.Mohan and Mr. Rajiv Paranjpe, who conceptualised this blog ’secondtake’.
This blog has been unique in terms of taking a holistic view of business as it is happening all around us, and has been successful in bringing forth the different aspects of the major upheavals in the business world over the last one year. From April 2008 (when ’secondtake’ commenced its journey) and business across the world was booming, we hit the ‘nadir’ of recession in the early 2009, with some signs of recovery (i am an optimist) again, it has been a real swing and ’secondtake’ captured the nuances of all that.
“Education is all about lighting a fire and not filling a bucket” (as told by Yeats). As far as I am concerned ’secondtake’ has managed to do the same, in terms of triggering thoughts.
My best wishes to Mohanbhai for his prolific and thought provoking blogs; and to Rajib for the direction he has provided and his excellent editing.
I have been a regular reader of this blog. The thing I like most about the blog is the critical analysis across multiple subjects with quality references.
I hope to see Mr. G Mohan maintaining high standard set by him to continue and look forward to read forthcoming posts on this blog on contemporary economic issues.
Really good work.
